NC State Fair

The past few weeks, NC State Fair was like the talk of the town! It is this massive fun fair that was held at the capital of NC, Raleigh! With courtesy of Kenan-Flagler Business School, Ks and I got free tickets!!! :D

So last Friday, we met up with Jake, Ben and Sam and we set off to the state fair!!

There were many carnival games, rides and endless booths selling DEEP-FRIED food! Like seriously, if there's one way people here cook their food, it's DEEP-FRIED! There's nothing they cannot deep-fry!!

This is the evidence. Deep-fried gummy bears?!?!?!

How can they make simple lemonade look so good?? And btw there were also deep-fried lemonade, deep-fried mozzarella fingers, deep-fried cheesecakes and deep-friend onions. (Idk why I didn't take more picture of the food we ate -_-)

Got scammed into playing an impossible game. Lol.

Funnel cake! Which essentially is just deep-fried donuts.

Saw this ride and we couldn't resist but take it! It's like viking except that it goes 360 degrees! MAD FUN!!

He looks like he's saying 'Ello!'

Pony rides....and I actually feel sad for the ponies. Being tied down all day and dragged along when they are suppose to 'operate'. :(

This ride, called the Vortex, was also the talk of the town. The day before we went to the state fair, 5 people got injured because they were thrown off the ride from about 20-30 ft above the ground. The people were unbuckling and getting ready to get off the ride when it got activated all of the sudden. It's MAD SCARY! This ride turns 360 degrees and the cabins sings in any possible angle at high speed. Being thrown off it is not a joke.

 Live stocks!

 Humongous pumpkins!

 Turkey legs!

Stunt show!

By this time, it got really cold. I think it was around 10 dc? And the temperature just kept falling. I was definitely under-dressed. I hid my hands in my pockets the whole time.

We weren't as crazy as the guys who had 1 turkey leg each. It's insane! The turkey leg gets really overwhelming after a while. I couldn't even eat half of it and I don't think I'll want to eat turkey legs anymore....

We escaped the cold and boarded the toasty bus at 9pm. By the time we reach Chapel Hill at about 11, the temperature was freaking 3dc!!!! I was really freezing but nonetheless, we were determined to eat Yopo!!

Crazy people we are.

NC State Fair was way more fun than I expected despite the unhealthiness and freezing weather! :)
