Just one of those nights....

...feeling inadequate
feeling small
feeling insignificant
feeling unimportant
feeling too much
doing too much
caring too much

but it's prolly just me expecting too much.

i really shouldn't
shouldn't be imposing
shouldn't try
shouldn't feel surprised

i should let my heart be cold
so i wouldn't feel

so i promise myself to stop all that i try
for what it's worth
for no one cares
for my emotional self

for a better tomorrow

Boyfriend-Withdrawal Syndrome - Brissy Part 3

I've been back for about a week but I really wish that I had stay a little longer in Brissy T.T

My vacation has been very 充实 with me having spent quality time with my family and friends. I'm quite enjoying these days of me just lazing around without having to worry about anything! Oh wait, actually I am worried about running low on cash lately.........

But ANYWAYS, I'm here to blog about my last few days in Brissy while I reminisce my holidays...

So on his school days, we can't do much but he'll bring me around to have lunch (if I don't cook) at places that he usually hangs out at.

At the Thai restaurant in Hawken Dr

Other days he'll come home to home-cooked food prepred (proudly) by me!

It's a joy to cook for the one you love. :)

We also hung out at South Bank's Max Brenners one of the nights after dinner!

Best.Hot.Chocolate.Ever

He also brought me to a popular gelato place:

This was at Gelateria Cremona

On Saturday, I went to watch the Captain's Ball match which he has signed up for! Regretted not putting sunblock. Now my back has like 50 shades of tan from different occasions... After which, we all went to Chester Street Bakery, which we have intended to have lunch at. But it turns out their "all-day breakfast" ends at 2pm and we had nothing to eat except for........

Cookies...

and cakes....

...and more cakes!!!

This is darn gooddddd! They have so many different types of cakes and cheesecakes I had a really hard time deciding. But the peanut butter cheesecake I went with in the end was soooooooo gooooood!

To satisfy the our taste buds with some savoury food after having been deprived of proper lunch.
Super cool place with live bands / performance (at night) and gigantic jenga and other types of board games!

After days of my girlfriend duties while Kw was in school, we went on a road trip to Elephant Rock and Hinze Dam on Sunday!

The schedule was to catch sunrise @ elephant rock > breakfast > shopping @ Harbour Town > Hinze Dam > home. So, in order to catch the sunrise, we left home at 4am to ensure we have plenty of time and not miss the sunrise. It was so difficult to tear myself away from bed -_-

On the way to Elephant Rock, we stopped by to grab a cuppa coffee and a toastie and some hash-browns to curb the hunger a little. And THANK GOD we budgeted a lot of journey time because after we grabbed some light bites, we went on the wrong way for awhile and Kw left his phone at the pre-breakfast place so we had to turn back and retrieve it. But all is well and we managed to reach Elephant Rock about 15 minutes before sunrise!

Was a bit kan cheong in the car when it started to become brighter and brighter

But woohooooo the sun is not out yet!!

Pictures while waiting for sunrise

Used up all possible device to take photos/videos

And taadaaaaa!!!! It was the best sunrise I have ever watched!! The sky was cloudless and the sun was really right smack in our faces. And the salted egg yolk was really big and clear!!! But of course, beautiful things we see on movies are (almost) always fake. It is usually a superb and amazing experience to watch and sunrise and no one should ever have any complaints. But guess what, because the sun was so big and the sky was so clear, we couldn't have stared directly at the sun because it was JUST TOO GLARING. And something so beautiful eventually began to hurt our eyes and we all started to cry out in pain hahaha

Despite so, it was still a breathtaking experience!

With Pangchuen and Eeching (fellow S'poreans in UQ!)

Ok please 不要 laugh at the cheesiness...... Beaches compel people to perform irrational teenager-ish acts. It's true, believe me.

The rock that we mistook as the elephant rock.......and we somehow convinced ourselves that it does look like an elephant.

And happily took pictures with it

Photos taken on the actual Elephant Rock (didn't get a good shot of the rock and cannot really tell how does it look like an elephant so just google if you're curious lolol)

After admiring nature's beauty, we went to Dune Cafe where Kw was full of praises about!

Really pretty place!

Breakfast for 4 (their pancakes were awesome!!! Check those out if you ever go there)

After breakfast, we went to shop at HabourTown where I bought most of the things that are not for myself..... And also where I bought Kw's birthday gifts which were a grilling pan and a bottle of perfume hehe.

Dropped by Hinze Dam after shopping. It was a really sunny day and I was feeling damn hot the whole day. Like even the car's aircon wasn't cold enough.

And that's about it for our road trippin' at 4am. We were all very happy to go home and nap.

Butttt I didn't let Kw enjoy his nap for long because the folks from Singapore had planned to have a get together and FaceTime Kw so that he can have a virtual birthday celebration lol

That pretty much wrapped up my final weekend in Brisbane!

On the very last week, he brought me to try burgers at Miel Container in the city.

Serving was huge! Even boyf couldn't finish his food. But I actually finished almost everything lolol
Their burgers are really good too!

On the final night, we had a mass gathering for steamboat to celebrate Boyf and Weekiat's birthday (as well as my farewell, I got to know later.)

Really wanted to have a celebration with him since we're not together on his actual birthday. Though it wasn't really a successful surprise, hopefully you enjoyed!!

And jang jangggggg comes my much much dreaded last day in Brisbane. Packed all my stuff after the celebration and caught a few hours of sleep before going out to have MORE FOOD before I fly back.

My last breakkie in Aussie @ Pancakes Manor

And Kw's standard boring breakkie choice lol

And the final thing before I leave: grab a cuppa from Toby's Estate! How can I not do so in a country with such strong coffee culture and good coffee almost just anywhere!

And I had to bid goodbye to my love again. *sobs*

Gonna miss you!

And came back home with presents for the famz. Rae is happy because I got him a tweety so Sylvester is not lonely anymoreee

Baby Bugs for Cae <3

And I turned him into a bunny toooo hahaha
My happy pill at home now~~

Will be back to update about my hols soon!!
